Take I-95 North to Exit 70. Follow US 1 north for about 5 miles to Laysville Center. 100 yards past the Citgo Station on left take a left into the Haines Park entrance to Launch site. or Take I-95 South to exit 71. Take a right at the end of the Ramp. follow four Mile River road to the end and Stop sign. Turn left on RT 1. Follow RT 1 for about 3 miles. About 100 yards before a Citgo station and Laysville Center turn right into yards past the Citgo Station turn right into the Haines Park entrance to Launch site.

The Town of Halifax has formed a committee to study recreational uses of the Monponsett Lakes. There has been an expressed interest in attracting iceboating which had been a sporting activity in past years. Please feel free to use the lakes for that purpose while the Committe is evaluating new by-laws for town meeting approval. West Monponsett Lake has approximately 4 1/2 miles of shore line with
a straight run of 1.25 miles from southeast to northwest.

Take I95 North to the 150 mile marker and exit at Newport. Follow the
signs to Greenville and Moosehead Lake via Rtes. 7 to 23 to 15. When
you enter Greenville, turn sharp right on 15 at the bottom of the hill
and continue 3 miles to the town dock just past the rail road overpass.
This a 4 1/2 hour ride from downtown Boston.

From the North - I-89 to exit 12A then Rte. 11 to Rte. 103B to Sunapee State Beach. From the South - I-89 to exit 9 then Rte. 103 to Sunapee State Beach. Lake Sunapee is approx. 4 miles long, 1-1/2 miles wide. Sunapee State Beach is at the foot of Mount Sunapee (Mt. Sunapee State Park Ski Area) and has a good launch site with lots of parking. Heated ice shack belonging to area iceboaters is just off the beach. Good restaurants and hotels/motels nearby.

Take Route 80 West to Exit 26, Budd Lake & Hacketstown, head west on Route for approximately 2-3 miles and turn right at the traffic light at the first sight of the Lake on your right. Proceed about a 1/2 mile around the lake to the launch site which is part of the Pavillon Lounge. Parking is available on both sides of the street, but check in the lounge for launching fees.

Rte 93 to Manchester, NH. East on Rte 101 to Exit 1 (1 mile). Right off exit to traffic circle which is south of 101 (1/4 mile). 3/4 of the way around traffic circle exit onto Rte 121. Lake will appear on right. Launch is approximately 1 mile from rotary. Pay attention to signs, lake is a water supply and as such, rules are enforced.

To Eastman Lake - I-89 to exit 13; from the North turn left onto Rte. 10, from the South turn right onto Rte. 10. Enter Eastman (a private community with a public lake) turn right about 1/4 mi. from exit and follow signs to public launch. Park vehicles, after launch, at ski area lot.

Take a left onto Lake Ave and continue until you get to the first state park, Lake Park. Or continue on Lake Ave past Rt. 9 until you get to another state park, Regatta Point State Park. Park in parking area. Launch from beaches.

Lake is about 1 by 1-1/2 miles with two small center islands. Good for NW, W, SW, S winds. Exit 13 off of Rt2 in Marlborough onto Rt66W. 4.2mi west to center of East Hampton. Left onto North Main St. 0.55mi north to Sears Park put-in (town park accessible to all in spring/fall/winter).

This ramp area is ussually a great place to set up.
