Destination: Ice boating
The following list is a brief list describing locations where iceboats have been know to sail.
If you live near a New England lake and would like to volunteer to spot ice conditions please let us know by either e-mailing the web master and mentioning this page or registeringon our form and telling us about the lake you can check. Checking ice is serious business. Having good reports means the difference between sailing and not getting up in the morning for many pilots. Coming soon to this web site is a procedure for a good ice checking routine and standardized vocabulary which will be posted here. We hope to improve the accessibility and accuracy of reports so that pilots can objectively compare their sailing options before committing to a weekend adventure. Help us get the word out and bring the word back on where the ice is best! We'll see you on the ice.
