Here in Sweden we skate sail standing in wings with skates on our feet at speeds up to 75 mph, 120 km/h. It looks quite spectacular, see the some ten pictures on my skate sailing page! Maybe you want to add this link to your site? You can call it Skate sailing in wings.

Hi Ice Sailers!

As an interesting side diversion, you might want to check out the Ski Sailer.

The home page is at: http://www.picklehead.com/skisailing.html

It's the invention by Carl Meinberg, who has won three world championships in the sport and will be featured in an upcoming Warren Miller video "The Ultimate Challenge".

Thanks and see you on the windy ice!

Subj: Snowfer - snow and ice sailing board link Date: 97-01-12 22:40:45 EST From: charles@snowfer.com (Charles Chepregi) To: NEIYA@aol.com

Hello,

Today, Sunday, January 12, 1997, I visited your homepage for Ice Yachting and I notice you have link pages for other sites. Is it possible, you might consider doing a link on "Snowfer".

Snowfer is a unique, versatile and easy to learn board for sailing on deep snow and bare ice. With its patented design, you could sail on frozen pond, river or lakes and rolling farmland or fields covered with snow plus 5 knots of wind or more to get you starting. We use the same sailing rig as a windsurfing board but you need a 8 mm mast base star connection to attach to the Snowfer board.

We have an upcoming 3rd Annual North American Snowfer Regatta coming in February 14, 15 to 16, 1997. Everyone with sailing experience is welcome to join us and try this hot, new exciting sport called "Snowfering". If you register by January 31st, you are qualified for the draw of a brand new fully equip Snowfer board. Race registration is $40 CDN or $30 US.

For more information you could visit our homepage at http://www.snowfer.com Thank you and Best regard, Charles Chepregi

Subj: NSIB&YC web page Date: 97-06-14 05:22:33 EDT From: stang@cybernex.net (Stan Grohowski & Family) To: NEIYA@aol.com

Matt,

I tried to talk our club into funding a web page of our own. Alot of our board of governor members have never operated a computer, never mind logged onto the web. Some could not see the reason for it.

I mentioned that your club offered to put a page up for us. Is this offer still good. I was able to whip up a page. The page is at.... www.concentric.net/~dn4762/nsibyc/. I made all this with microsoft frontpage. The page talks of our club's history and explains classes of ice boats. If you put this up, we would like to know any reaction to it. Possitive news may persuade the holdouts in our club.

Please let me know your thoughts on this. I have attched the files in case your offer still stands.

regards,

stan grohowski treasurer, NSIB&YC

Editors note: To Netscape browser navigators.. you might want to try changing your browser "default colors" selection to use your browser's color scheme instead of the NSIB&YC page scheme until the backround color is corrected... The black backround causes the Black text to be unreadable.... Once the backround color is changed a lot of interesting infomation is available about the "Red Bank" club.
